About Abbamedia
Abbamedia (AH-bah-MEE-dee-ah) produces content with the purpose of pointing the way to the Judeo-Christian God. He gave us His name: Jehovah (translated as and from: Yehovah / Yahweh / YHWH / I AM). In Him and through His Son Jesus the promised Messiah gave to the world the only hope and greatest love – now and forever. The biblical story — from Genesis to Revelation — points to Jesus the Messiah as the only way for the forgiveness of sin. Through trusting in God’s Son Jesus, we can have genuine reconciliation with God, and not be separated from Him for eternity. The Abbamedia Group presents music; video; story; and resources, to help those wanting to deepen their relationship with this one and only God found in the Bible.
In a world of increasing lures for our attention, the spiritual side of humankind is being led down many wrong paths. These paths may feel like a way to “the better good,” even self-gratifying. But they are the result of a spiritual vacuum growing in our culture. Both personally and collectively the historical man-made substitutes for the Biblical God always end up with a form of personal bondage, and/or collective bondage to world systems. Every time. And, the eternal consequences of living apart from God cause a far worse fate. Many of us are feeling the personal despair, because we have been prejudiced to trust in a flawed world-view. What we instinctively crave is a return to God’s explicit love and protection.
The Abbamedia Group has a passion to reach all people — no matter their circumstances — to share the biblical good news of God: No matter where we’ve have been; what we’ve done, it is only through Christ – the incarnation of God on earth – that we can walk rightfully and become truly free under His guidance.
The Abbamedia name is a compound word, ‘Abba’ + ‘Media’, holding the Aramaic word: Abba, (pronounced “AH-bah”) which means Father. (Aramaic is one of the languages Jesus the Messiah spoke through His ministry within Israel.)

Why is this Aramaic word so important in our work?
The title: ‘Abba’ (AH-ba) implies a specific bond. A relationship including that which is initiated by the father: a deep abiding love; guidance; strength; counsel; friendship; and discipline as part of that love. Abba also signifies, that the child using the title is not only dependent on this sustenance of the father’s bond, but that the child is signaling obedience for his/her own good.
Jesus instructs us to pray using the title, “Our Father…”. And, Galatians 4:3-6 explains it this way:
“So when we were children, we were in bondage to the elements of the world. But when the right time came, God sent His Son, who was born from a woman, born into a culture in which perversion of God’s instruction was the norm. God sent His Son to buy freedom for those who were under any such man-made authoritarian perversions, that we might receive His adoption as His children. Now because you are His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, and the Spirit cries out “Abba!” (CJB)
Jesus cried out to His ‘Father’ in heaven this way when he prayed, often using the term “Abba,” particularly when in obedience to his impending sacrificial death. With Jesus’ Holy Spirit prompting within us, we too can also call out to God almighty, the maker of all things, who is pure and holy… with THE SAME CONFIDENCE of Jesus. Because when we accept Christ to cover our sin – no matter how bad/unworthy we think we are – we now belong to Father God, just as a child belongs to his/her father! He will love us, reparent us, and protect us just as a father would toward his willing/submissive child.
The Father-child metaphor is so important in our relationship to Him, it is the underlying thread running through the media we produce. Jesus put it in the most dire terms:
“I tell you the truth: Unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:3
